The main on-court event on the NBA summer calendar begins Thursday when the Las Vegas Summer League tips off from Sin City. There are seven games on Thursday's slate, including a matchup between Cooper Flagg's Dallas Mavericks and Bronny James' Los Angeles Lakers.

A 22-year-old guard out of Gonzaga, the Mavs signed Nembhard to a two-way contract following the 2025 NBA Draft. He’s almost a foot and a half smaller than Sharp at 6’0″, but Nembhard’s prowess as a play-maker could make him the perfect Summer League teammate for the 7’5″ center.

Flagg is the only draft pick for the Mavericks, but he's certainly far from the only rookie on the Summer League roster. The Mavericks have several rookies flanking Flagg in Las Vegas, most notably former Auburn guard Miles Kelly and former Gonzaga guard Ryan Nembhard.
