Things have already begun to shift, with the Phoenix Suns trading superstar Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and the 10th pick (Khaman Maluach) in the 2025 NBA Draft. The Boston Celtics have also begun a refresh by trading Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trailblazers and Kristaps Porziņģis to the Atlanta Hawks.

9:17 p.m. ET: The Charlotte Hornets are trading center Mark Williams to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for the No. 29 pick in the 2025 draft ( Liam McNeeley ), guard Vasilije Micic and a 2029 first-round pick, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Lakers also went ahead and signed Eric Dixon, a big man who went undrafted, to a two-way contract. Dixon, who is 6-feet-8 and 265 pounds, spent five years in the NCAA with the University of Villanova, and he led the nation in scoring this past season with an average of 23.3 points a game.
