Facebook is trying to go back to its roots with a new “Friends” tab that filters out the algorithmic recommendations that have taken over its main feed. The new tab is rolling out in the US and Canada, and will show your friends’ stories, reels, posts, and birthdays.

Winneshiek County Sheriff Dan Marx said the office wanted to "demonstrate good faith," so it removed the original Facebook post.

If Marx did not delete the old post and post an apology on Facebook by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, his county could lose state funding, according to Bird.

Iowa’s Attorney General says the Winneshiek County Sheriff needs to delete his Facebook post on immigration detainers and make a new post her office wrote or else she will file to withhold state funding from the County.
