Kerr County continues to search for people who are missing after deadly floods hit summer camps, homes and roads July 4. Their team is giving updates on those efforts. We are updating our daily live blog as we learn more.

Kerr County and the Upper Guadalupe River Authority have tried several times to get funding to upgrade flood alerts on the river, dating back to 2016.

The loss of life is unimaginable. While we are still grappling with what happened, it’s important to understand the historic nature of this flood. It likely already ranks as the third-deadliest flood in Texas history.
