Connor Hellebuyck made 23 saves, Kyle Connor had a goal and an assist and the NHL-leading Winnipeg Jets beat the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 on Sunday for their third straight victory.

Cole Perfetti put the game out of reach with a stunning goal. Derek Forbort has been very good defensively for the Canucks but Perfetti undressed him like he was Ned Braden with a gorgeous outside-inside move through Forbort’s legs. He finished it off with a top-shelf shot while falling to the ice. It was an unreal goal.

After Mason Appleton gave the Jets a 2-1 lead at 6:24 of the third period, Perfetti turned Vancouver defenceman Derek Forbort into a human pretzel grasping at shadows with a slick outside-to-inside move, before beating Thatcher Demko over the right shoulder at 12:11. Demko picked up the loss, stopping 24 of 27 shots.

The Vancouver Canucks have made a roster move ahead of their matinee game on Satuday against the Winnipeg Jets. Vancouver assigned goaltender Artūrs Šilovs to the Abbotsford Canucks, who are currently in San Jose to take on the Barracude.

Alex Iafallo scored a pair of goals to lead the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.

Thatcher Demko played well in his first game back from injury, and the Canucks got a massive 4-3 win over the Devils on Monday night.
