Edgecombe is a maniacal worker who has a willingness to get in the gym and work as hard as ever in order to take the next steps in his game. He averaged 15.0 points and 2.1 steals per game while at Baylor and is looking to move forward as he prepares for the summer league in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.

Edgecombe’s stems from being just the eighth Bahamian-born player to suit up in the NBA. His home meant he had to battle onto peoples’ radars. He doesn’t expect that hearing his named called by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will change that.

The Philadelphia 76ers made a selection with the No. 3 overall pick as they took Baylor star VJ Edgecombe with the No. 3 overall pick. The Sixers will add an athletic marvel to their backcourt and allow themselves to move forward with a faster and quicker team on the floor.
