Apple's new series based on the sci-fi novels of the same name lets the actor lean into his funny side as a socially awkward, emotionless, TV-addicted security AI

The series' main appeal is its titular character's inner monologue, a charming blend of snark and social awkwardness. That all this commentary happens internally — alongside key story action taking place on internal monitors — works perfectly in a written medium.
