MEXICO CITY — Mexican authorities were seeking suspects Monday in the assassination of a mayoral candidate who was shot dead during a campaign rally in the gulf coast state of Veracruz. The attack Sunday evening in Texistepec killed Yesenia Lara Gutíerrez, 49, who was running for mayor of the town of 20,000.
