A new wildfire was reported today at 5:18 p.m. in Los Angeles County, California. The wildfire has been burning on private land. There is currently no information about the containment efforts for the fire and its cause has not yet been determined.

Wallis Annenberg, the famed philanthropist, died this week at the age of 86. For decades, Annenberg worked to transform L.A., through massive donations to arts, education and animal welfare causes. Her name and work is ubiquitous around Los Angeles.
