TROY, MI -- Police say there is no active threat to the community following a shooting that took place Thursday morning at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. Initial reports suggested an active shooter situation was unfolding at the hospital, but police now say the alleged attack was a “targeted incident.”

A victim was in stable condition after being shot in the arm in Troy, Mich., and the police were searching for the gunman. Both were hospital employees.

An investigation is ongoing after a man was shot to death Thursday morning in Montgomery. Police identified the victim as Shaquille Davis. He was 23. Montgomery police and fire medics were dispatched at 7:20 a.m. to the 700 block of Havelock Lane on a report of a person shot.

An arrest is now made in connection with an exchange of gunfire this morning that sent an Elmore County deputy and two women to the hospital.
