Auburn retained its spot at No. 1 in the AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll Monday despite its first loss in SEC play this weekend but paid the price by losing its unanimous status among voters.

The Auburn Tigers may have suffered their worst loss of the season, but Bruce Pearl's squad remains at the top of the AP poll.

Florida rose to No. 3 after beating Auburn, meaning three of the top five teams came from the SEC. Nine total SEC teams were ranked this week, with Texas A&M, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Missouri and Mississippi State rounding out the top 25 behind Auburn, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.
